Here classes create their Virtual Valentines, but do not partner with another classroom. We do hope that you will share photos of your students' work on Twitter using our #k12valentine hashtag.

Step 3: Join our Project Facebook
Level 2 Classes Only
For classes wanting to find partner classrooms to Skype or Google Hangout, we've created a private Facebook Group just for this project. In your project confirmation email, you will have a link to the group. Simply request to join the group from that link.
Here project participants can share digital tool ideas, photos of student creations, and discoveries during the research process.
Joining the group is not required, however. If you would like to find a Skype partner for the project in your own social media network, that's terrific, too! Just be sure to use our #k12valentine hashtag so we can follow your progress.
Step 5: Time to Create the Valentines
With the dozens of digital tools out on the web or in apps students can use to create valentines, we invite you to try a new tool for this project. Be sure to check out our Virtual Valentine Ideas Page to see a great list of options.
Step 6: Conduct a Mini-Research Investigation on Your Partner Classroom's Community & Calculate the Miles Between Both Schools.
Level 2 Classrooms Only
See if you can discover at least 5 facts about your partner classroom's community. This will be a great chance to gather information before hosting your Skype call. During this stage, students will also use Google Maps to calculate the distance between both communities.
